Senator Orrin Hatch offers big apology to Rob Porter’s ex-wives

Republican Senator Orrin Hatch has something to say yet again about former White House aide Rob Porter and the allegations against him for mental and physical abuse.

But this time, Porter’s old boss is issuing an apology. Porter was a former staffer for Hatch.

According to FOX, Porter’s second ex-wife, Jennie Willoughby, recently received a letter from Hatch with a sincere apology for the pain he may have caused us.

And according to CNN, Colbie Holderness, Porter’s first ex-wife, also received a letter from Hatch to which she said: “I appreciate his apology.”

This comes after Hatch issued two statements defending Porter saying: “it’s incredibly discouraging to see such a vile attack on such a decent man.”

Hatch explained that initially, he was under the impression political enemies were attacking Porter and that is why he first defended him but said: “domestic violence in any form is abhorrent.”
