Bill Clinton wants to give his opinion about whether or not Lewinsky documents should be released

It looks like Former President Bill Clinton wants to give his opinion on whether or not documents from his 1998 grand jury investigation, involving his affair with Monica Lewinsky, should be made public.

According to CNN, Clinton’s lawyers told a federal court Friday that the former commander-in-chief is willing to give his input on documents that remained secret following the investigation in which the president gave a false and perjurious testimony.

The network even filed a request for the release of the documents, arguing that they could help benefit how Special Counsel Robert Mueller might seek testimony from president Trump, with President Clinton testifying under oath in 1998 before a grand jury.

Neither the Justice Department nor CNN are against Clinton’s request to weigh in, making it very possible that a judge will allow the former President to speak.

The Probe into whether or not the Russians interfered with the 2016 election made waves this week, as Mueller’s office announced indictments against 13 Russian Nationals and 3 organizations for allegedly being involved with meddling in the election.

The Special Counsel is also looking into whether there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, with Trump saying back in February that he wanted to speak with Mueller, despite protests from his lawyers.
