Chloe Kim wins gold for US in women's snowboard halfpipe final

Chloe Kim, the 17-year-old snowboarding phenom from California, took home the gold for the United States at the women's halfpipe final on Tuesday in South Korea.

Kim nabbed the top spot with a score of 98.25 in her third run, which put her ahead of silver medalist Liu Jiayu of China and bronze medalist Arielle Gold of the United States.

Though Kim has won multiple gold medals at the Winter X Games and 2016 Winter Youth Olympics, this is her first appearance and first medal at the Winter Olympics for Team USA.
