Otto Warmbier’s father to attend Winter Olympics with Vice President Pence

The father of Otto Warmbier -- the college student who was arrested in North Korea and later died -- is said to be attending the Winter Olympics with Vice President Mike Pence.

The Washington Post reports that Fred Warmbier will be making the trip to South Korea as a guest of the Vice President.

Otto was 22 years old when he died after being arrested and convicted in North Korea and then more than a year later was released and flown back to the United States in a coma.

President Trump honored the Warmbier’s at his first State of the Union address saying, “You are powerful witnesses to a menace that threatens our world, and your strength inspires us all.”

Pence will lead the U.S. delegation to the Winter Olympics  as a way of showing America’s presence on the Korean Peninsula, according to Fox.
