Super Bowl blackout due to 'brief equipment failure': NBC Sports

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Dead air time during the Super Bowl was due to a "brief equipment failure that was quickly resolved," an NBC Sports spokesman said on Sunday.

The program went black for about 20 seconds but no game action or commercial time was missed, the spokesman said.
