Princeton QB recruit White turns down Alabama offer

Princeton pulled off an upset of Alabama on Friday -- in the recruiting department.

Quarterback prospect Brevin White, who committed to the Ivy League school over the summer, decided to turn down a Jan. 25 scholarship offer from the Crimson Tide and stick with his original choice.

"The main reason I decided to stick was because Princeton offers me opportunities to fulfill my aspirations on and off the field. Alabama is a first-class institution and a program with a great education, but Princeton checks more boxes personally for me. Princeton is the best fit for who I am," the Lancaster, Calif. product told ESPN.

White, a 6-foot-2, 187 pound senior at Paraclete High School, threw for 3,931 yards and 54 touchdowns against just seven interceptions this season.

Alabama is looking to add some depth to its quarterback corps before the Crimson Tide try to defend their national championship title.
