Two women arrested for torturing and feeding dog feces to three children

Two women in Maryland have been arrested after authorities say they beat three children and forced them to eat dog feces for months.

Maryland State Police say that Amanda R. Wright and her girlfriend Besline Joseph assaulted the children with something like a stun gun and beat them with belts and extension cords.

The two women were arrested on Wednesday at their home in Mardela Springs and have been charged with multiple counts of child abuse.

The children were reportedly kept in closets or the basement of the home and fed a diet of oatmeal, bread and water for six months.

Maryland’s police director of communications told local media, "It is hard to imagine this type of abuse, and certainly even harder to imagine the motive behind it."
