FOX News radio host says Trump should deport 'Dreamers' attending State of the Union address

Fox News radio host Todd Starnes thinks that President Trump should make a statement on immigration by having the ‘Dreamers,’ undocumented immigrants brought into the U.S. as children, attending Tuesday’s State of the Union address deported.

He made the suggestion in an op-ed piece published by Fox News Sunday and in an apparent response to some Congressional members’ reported plans to invite Dreamers to the event.

“The illegal aliens will be sitting in seats that in previous years were meant for brave military heroes, law-abiding taxpayers and America’s best and brightest,” Starnes writes.

“The sad truth is that Democrats would rather align themselves with foreign invaders who violated our national sovereignty, thumbed their nose at the rule of law, and pillaged and plundered taxpayer-funded resources,” he further notes.

Starnes also shares his vision of how the recommended deportations should be handled.

“President Trump should fill the remainder of the House gallery with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents,” he states. “Imagine the message he could send to the world if he directed ICE agents to arrest every illegal alien in the House chamber – live on national television.”

While Starnes is seemingly encouraging chaos and aggression, a number of the nation’s lawmakers are hoping for a State of the Union message on immigration policy that provides clarity and shows compassion.

“If he made statements like we’ve heard at some other points, like ‘with heart’ and ‘bill of love,’ that kind of thing is helpful,” Republican Senator Jeff Flake told Politico.
