Doctors in crisis as FDA bans top brand flu tests during peak season

Doctors are desperate for flu tests after the FDA banned two top brands in the peak of this flu season.

The FDA pulled out of the market rapid flu test kits that detected the virus within 10 minutes due to false positives, forcing doctors to use slower three-day blood tests.

Suppliers shipping the rapid flu tests haven’t been able to fill their back orders during this critical time.

According to past reports this flu season has been one of the worst ones in recent history, killing over 37 children.

This flu has been especially dangerous because many infected do not show symptoms.

The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention is urging everyone to get the flu shot.
