Melania Trump changes plans, will not join President Trump for Davos trip

Melania Trump will reportedly not be accompanying President Trump on his trip to Davos, Switzerland, reports CNN.

Stephanie Grisham, the first lady’s communications director, told the media outlet that the change in plans is due to "scheduling and logistical issues."

The Davos trip at large was in question over the weekend due to the temporary shutdown of the U.S. government, notes Business Insider.

Now that the issue is, at least for now, resolved, Trump will be honoring his previous commitment to travel to Davos and attend the World Economic Forum.

News that the first lady will not be traveling with him as planned comes days after a report about her husband’s alleged sexual relations with adult film star Stormy Daniels.

According to the Wall Street Journal, an attorney for Trump paid Daniels $130,000 for her silence on the matter.

The encounter in question is said to have occurred in 2006, not long after he and Melania married.
