There was a fight between Eagles fans, police outside the stadium

A brawl took place outside the Philadelphia stadium before tonight’s game.

Philadelphia’s police department released a statement this week in anticipation of today’s NFC Championship Game. The statement basically said: stay inside or risk danger.

The Eagles-Vikings game hasn’t even started yet and we’ve already got reports of the craziness taking place in the City of Brotherly Love. There was reportedly a big fight between Eagles fans and police outside Lincoln Financial Field.

“The fight was between Eagles’ fans and the police officers, and it doesn’t appear any Vikings’ fans were involved. The incident, which required Philadelphia police officers  and Pennsylvania State troopers to get under control, left at least one fan beaten and blooded.

Despite the late kickoff, Eagles fans were seen arriving to the stadium to start tailgating as early as 7 a.m. EST on Sunday,” reports NJ.com.

The brawl reportedly got so intense that horses were called onto the scene. NJ.com reports that six horses had to be called to the scene to attempt to control the crowd.

NJ.com captured video of the fight. You can view it below.

WARNING: It’s graphic.

Some crazy photos have also surfaced from the fight. They’re also pretty graphic:

Stay safe out there. Kickoff is set for 6:40 p.m. E.T. on FOX.
