Here’s how many stitches Tom Brady reportedly required on his throwing hand

Everyone knows Tom Brady was playing at slightly less than 100 percent today.

Brady suffered a much-publicized and mysterious throwing hand injury during practice in the week leading up to the AFC Championship Game. There was plenty of speculation regarding how well he’d be able to play.

Well, Brady had a noticeable black bandage on his throwing hand, but it didn’t seem to hurt him too much.

He threw for two touchdowns to Danny Amendola in the fourth quarter to turn a 20-10 deficit into a 24-20 victory.

The Patriots are heading to their eighth Super Bowl in the last 16 seasons, which is insane when you think about it. Half of the last 16 years have featured the Pats in the big game.

Oh, and if you needed any more proof that Brady is living a storybook existence in the NFL, consider this stat about his injured hand.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Brady received 12 stitches under his right thumb just four days before the game against the Jags.

That’s right. Twelve stitches for No. 12.

Brady and the Patriots will now head to Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis, which will take place two weeks from tonight.

It appears they will face the Philadelphia Eagles, who lead the Minnesota Vikings 24-7 at halftime in Philadelphia.
