Woman who tortured 13 kids allegedly wanted one more

The brother-in-law of a woman who was arrested with her husband after their 13 children were found starving and shackled to furniture inside their southern California home said his estranged relative wanted a 14th kid.

Louise Turpin’s brother-in-law, Billy Lambert, claims that when he last spoke to Turpin, on Jan. 10, she said she wanted to add another kid to her giant brood with husband David Turpin.

“She told me she was getting ready to buy a school bus,” Lambert told the Daily Mail.

“Then she told me they wanted another child. I said are you serious? Why would you want another kid, haven’t you got enough? But she said: ‘Yes I want another child.’”

Turpin’s sister, Teresa Robinette, told the Daily Mail said that they last spoke on Halloween. She added that Turpin regularly shared photos of their youngest child, who appeared to be well-nourished, but not of her other children, according to the Daily Mail.

The couple is furious over the way their relatives—who are charged with 12 counts of torture, seven counts of abuse of dependant adults, six counts of child abuse and 12 counts of false imprisonmenta—abused their children.

“I hope they suffer as much, if not more, than those kids suffered,” Robinette told the Daily Mail.

“I hope they torture my sister for the rest of her life,” she added.

Her husband weighed in on their forthcoming sentence.

“I think they should get life. That’s not just spur-of-the-moment anger, I’m not changing that view,” he reportedly said.
