Trump 'discovered' terrain along U.S.-Mexico border 'is not conducive' in some areas for a wall: Kellyanne Conway

President Trump’s border wall might not be a wall after all.

White House counsel Kellyanne Conway appeared on CNN on Wednesday night and told Chris Cuomo, “The President discovered that part of it will be the physical wall, part of it is better technology, part of it is also fencing.”

“There are rivers involved, I'm told, mountains, terrain that isn't conducive to building an actual physical structure in some places,” Conway added.

The counselor to the President sparred with Cuomo for 30 minutes in a wide-ranging interview that touched on the Russia probe, as well as the First Amendment, the opioid crisis, and the 2016 elections.

Earlier Wednesday, Trump said there can be no bipartisan immigration deal without funding for his long-promised wall along the U.S. border with Mexico.

“We need the wall for security, we need the wall for safety, we need the wall for stopping the drugs from pouring in,” Trump said Wednesday. “Any solution has to include the wall because without the wall, it all doesn't work.”

Conway also declared that “nobody” in the Trump administration talks about the Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, even though the President himself brought up his election rival just hours before.

Conway told Cuomo, “We don’t care about her. Nobody here talks about her. Hey, Chris, nobody here talks about Hillary Clinton, I promise you.”

During a press conference at the White House with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg on Wednesday, Trump criticized the FBI’s interview with Clinton regarding her private email server.
