SEE IT: Chinatown fish market worker walks all over seafood

One fish, two fish, red fish ... shoe fish.

Fish with a side of boot grime was unpalatably on the menu at a Chinatown market when a customer caught a worker stepping on the seafood.

Customer Apri Davidson spotted a worker at the Hung Kee Fish and Meat on Canal St. walking all over fish on display with his black winter boots as he tried to fix a broken fuse box over the stand.

“Seriously?” Davidson asks in a video she posted on Facebook Wednesday. “You’re gonna stand there on the food, with your boots?”

The repairman responded that he’d “wash it” later.

“Oh, you wash it, so it’s OK?” Davidson replied. “Now you gonna kick it?”

“Please don’t buy that,” she appears to tell another customer.

The video has been shared by 35,000 people on Facebook.

A state food inspector was sent to the location and discovered “critical deficiencies,” according to the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.

The Hung Kee market was required to post a “C” grade as a result. Follow-up inspections are scheduled.

A call to the market was not returned.
