Bo Scarbrough denies yelling ‘f--k Trump’ in tunnel before game

Bo Scarbrough didn’t have a huge impact on last night’s game, but he made big headlines for what happened just minutes before kickoff.

Bo Scarbrough finished with four rushes for 23 yards, good for fourth on the team last night, as well as a catch for one yard. It wasn’t the most impactful performance of his Alabama career by any stretch.

As Alabama walked through the tunnel to the field for last night’s national championship, Scarbrough was identified by Sporting News as the player that loudly—and clearlyyelled “F–k Trump” before hitting the field. President Donald Trump was on the field for the national anthem before the game, and took in the first half at Mercedes Benz Stadium before departing.

After the game, Scarbrough denied that he yelled the expletive, per AL.com:

"I'm just trying to celebrate the win," Scarbrough said. "Those type of words didn’t come out of my mouth."

Scarbrough also took to Twitter to say that he said “Georgia,” not “Trump.”

With all respect to Scarbrough, those two words don’t sound alike, and the word that was yelled sounds way closer to the latter than the former. Judge for yourself:

It’s not the end of the world by any stretch, but that’s pretty clear.
