Fake cop allegedly attempts to pull over real cop

A California man impersonating an officer learned the hard lesson, the only acceptable time to play cop is on Halloween.

Visalia police say 29-year-old Brandon Freeman was driving a 2008 white Buick sedan when he turned on flashing red lights and signaled the driver in front of him to pull over. But what Freeman didn’t realize, the driver he was trying to pull over was an off-duty sergeant.

According to the Fresno Bee, the real officer kept on driving, communicating with on-duty officers, arranging for an interception. It’s unclear how exactly the off-duty sergeant knew he was dealing with an imposter.

Freeman was promptly arrested for impersonating an officer among other things, and a passenger in his car was also arrested for outstanding felony warrants.
