Police car chase ends with suspect driving off pier

A police chase ended up with the suspect driving his car off a pier.

Authorities in Astoria, Oregon started chasing Timofey Erofeeff after he allegedly trespassed at a marina.

The 27-year-old drove his pick-up truck straight off the pier at around 45 miles per hour.

But the chase did not end there. The suspect then swam away in the freezing waters until he gave up and a nearby boat fished him out and afterward was arrested.

He has been charged with six counts including criminal trespass, attempt to elude and reckless driving.
