Melania Trump named one of the 'most admired' women in Gallup poll

Gallup recently asked Americans to name the women they most admire, and, for the first time, Melania Trump made it to the top 10.

She shared the number 7th spot with UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Duchess Kate Middleton, and Beyoncé.

Since becoming first lady in January, Melania Trump’s public profile has increased considerably.

She has accompanied her husband on a number of political trips, both domestic and abroad, hosted events, and made numerous visits to children at schools and in hospitals.

Gallup’s other most admired women include Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Elizabeth Warren, Angela Merkel and Queen Elizabeth II.

Hillary Clinton took the number 1 spot, as she has 21 times before.

Former President Barack Obama was declared the most admired man for the 10th year in a row.

The Gallup survey was conducted from December 4 to 11 and involved 1,049 adult participants.
