New information in special counsel Robert Mueller's ongoing investigation into Russia's reported attempts to influence the 2016 presidential election captured headlines this week. President Trump's former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty on Friday to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russia.  

Other major headlines of the week included Matt Lauer being fired from 'Today' following numerous reports of sexual misconduct, North Korea said it successfully launched a new intercontinental ballistic missile that could reach all of the U.S. mainland and Bali's airport was closed as the Mount Agung volcano erupted.
