In the wake of reports that President Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn admitted lying to the FBI, former FBI director James Comey tweeted a Bible verse on Friday.
“‘But justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream’ Amos 5:24,” Comey wrote in his tweet.

According to NPR, Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his conversations with Russia's ambassador during Trump's transition into the White House. He is also reportedly cooperating with the special counsel’s office as the investigation continues into Moscow’s interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Comey has become a bit of a master at using Twitter to take digs at the Trump administration.
“Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.’ – Thomas Jefferson, Jan. 28, 1786,” Comey tweeted on Saturday.

His post came shortly after Trump lashed out at CNN.
The former FBI director also made a somewhat subtle dig at Trump’s grievance about not getting more praise for the release of three UCLA basketball players from China.
“‘A good leader takes a little more than his share of the blame, a little less than his share of the credit.’ Arnold H. Glasow (1905-1998),” Comey tweeted on November 19.
