Judge, Porzingis and these sports icons received NYC mayor votes
Bill de Blasio may have been re-elected as New York City mayor, but he's lucky that Aaron Judge and Kristaps Porzingis didn't run.
Judge received 10 write-in votes in the 2017 city-wide election, while Porznigis received nine, according to the Board of Elections certification report. There were over 2,000 write-in votes.
The Knicks star actually should've received 11, but a pair of voters didn't spell his name correctly. "Kristaps Porzinais" got a vote, as did "Kristops Porzingis."
Other notables to receive votes: Recently dismissed Yankee manager Joe Girardi (two), Yankee great and Marlins owners Derek Jeter (two), just-benched Giants QB Eli Manning (one) and soon to be ex-WFAN radio host Michael Francesa (one).
