Charles Manson’s prison pen pal Michael Channels wants remains

Amid a battle over Charles Manson’s remains, his prison pen pal has reportedly filed an alleged will with the state of California.

Michael Channels, who is reportedly named in a February 2002 will that disinherits all of Manson’s relatives, told TMZ that he filed the will in probate court.

He told the gossip site he plans to move Manson’s body to a funeral home for cremation.

Manson, 83, died of natural causes at a hospital in Bakersfield, Calif., on Nov. 19 after spending more than 45 years in prison for the murders of nine people in 1969.

The mass murderer’s friend, Ben Gurecki, told the Daily News last week that he had a January 2017 will that nammed Manson’s self-proclaimed “son” Matthew Roberts as the main beneficiary.

“Matthew and I will be there next week in person,” he told The News. “Charlie will be given a headstone, a proper burial where people will be able to grieve, or deface it as they see fit.”

Manson’s grandson, Jason Freeman, is also trying to claim the remains, although a GoFundMe to cover the legal, travel and burial fees was shut down shortly before Thanksgiving.
