Report: Video surveillance shows UCLA players stealing from 3 stores

Three UCLA freshman basketball players, including LiAngelo Ball, were arrested in China for shoplifting earlier this week.

ESPN’s Arash Markazi reported earlier this week that LiAngelo Ball – LaVar’s middle son – along with freshman Cody Riley and Jalen Hill were released from jail early Wednesday morning and are being required to stay in a hotel during the legal process.

Markazi is now reporting that there is video surveillance of the three players shoplifting from three different stores.

The source also noted that there is surveillance footage of the players shoplifting from three stores inside of a high-end shopping center next to the team’s hotel in Hangzhou, which houses Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Salvatore Ferragamo stores.

Ball, Riley, and Hill must remain in Hangzhou for “a week or two” while the rest of the UCLA basketball team flies home tonight.

UCLA defeated Georgia Tech 63-60 in the season opener.
