Japanese prime minister gives President Trump lighthearted gift

Donald Trump started his 13-day presidential tour of Asia in Japan, and received a lighthearted gift from Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Both avid golfers, Trump met Abe at a country club in Tokyo where the prime minister presented him with a custom made hat that says “Make Alliance Even Greater.”

A clear take on Trump’s campaign slogan “Make America Great Again,” the two autographed the hats before playing a round of golf with professional golfer, Hideki Matsuyama.

This is not the first time the two politicians have played golf together. Following his electoral college win, Trump was given a golden golf club, valued at $3,000, by Abe.

The prime minister then accepted an invitation to play at Trump’s private golf course, Mar-a-Lago, in February 2017.

President Trump and Prime Minster Abe both tweeted pictures from their day on the golf course.
