Trump responds to ISIS claiming responsibility for NYC attack
In the wake of the Islamic State claiming responsibility for the deadly New York City terror attack, President Trump tweeted Friday morning that the group has been hit “much harder” following the incident.
“ISIS just claimed the Degenerate Animal who killed, and so badly wounded, the wonderful people on the West Side, was ‘their soldier,’” Trump wrote. “Based on that, the Military has hit ISIS ‘much harder’ over the last two days.”
The president went on to say, “They will pay a big price for every attack on us!”
Trump also said in a tweet on Wednesday that the attack suspect, Sayfullo Saipov, who is in custody, “should get death penalty.”
Saipov plowed a rented truck through a busy bike path on Tuesday, killing eight people and injuring others.
