Trump super PAC plans to raise $100M

President Trump’s super PAC plans to spend $100 million to elect pro-Trump republicans in 2018 and attempt to sell tax reform.

Politico says that the America First Action will host an event that will feature Vice President Mike Pence and possibly Trump himself.

The group has already tapped Continental Resources CEO and billionaire Harold Hamm who is worth over $11 billion dollars.

But despite the group's recruiting efforts, they will compete for cash with the Steve Bannon-backed Great America PAC.

At a recent meeting, America First Action said that it and an allied nonprofit have already raised $25 million.

And in a push to clear up any confusion about who to donate to, Donald Trump Jr. -- who was at the meeting -- wrote a check to the organization, saying "This is the only group that I’m giving to."

America First has already had a meeting at the White House, showing the groups close connection to the President.

Although the visit also raised some eyebrows, because legally, super PAC’s aren’t allowed to coordinate with candidates or political parties.

Trump is already a declared candidate for 2020.
