Dark chocolate recall affects products in 23 states

A recall has been issued over a series of dark chocolate products from the New York-based company First Source.

The products contain undeclared milk — and could pose a serious or life-threatening risk to people who are allergic or sensitive to it.

The recalled items include several Wegmans dark chocolate products with almonds, cherry-infused cranberries or strawberries.

Other items include Dark Chocolate Almonds from Alpine Valley, Circle K as well as Tops Dark Chocolate Coffee Beans and 7 Select Dark Chocolate Turbinado Almonds with Sea Salt.

The products have been sold from January 1st, 2016 to present and were distributed to 23 states.

According to the FDA, there have been no reported illnesses or allergic reactions.
