Trump blasts Michael Moore’s Broadway show in ‘not at all presidential’ tweet

Days after Michael Moore completed a limited run of his anti-Trump Broadway show, ‘The Terms of My Surrender,’ the president targeted the filmmaker on Twitter.

“While not at all presidential I must point out that the Sloppy Michael Moore Show on Broadway was a TOTAL BOMB and was forced to close. Sad!” Trump tweeted Saturday.

Playbill, a Broadway-focused website, disputed Trump’s assertion that the show was “forced to close.”

“It was reported in May—when the show was announced—that it would play a 12-week limited engagement,” the site noted.

“While the show was not a box-office front-runner (grossing less than half of its potential most weeks and drawing in a capacity hovering in the mid-70 percentile), it did play its fully scheduled run,” Playbill added.

Moore, an outspoken Trump critic, also took to Twitter in response to the president’s attack.

“You must have my smash hit of a Broadway show confused with your presidency— which IS a total bomb and WILL indeed close early. NOT SAD,” Moore said in a series of tweets.

“Prosecutor Mueller’s GrandJury has just approved the 1st criminal indictments of your administration,” he said in another tweet aimed at Trump. “R u trying 2 distract us from this?”
