NFL Super Bowl odds: Eagles soar, Patriots post on top

Updated

And we're onto Week 8.

This week's games kick off on Thursday with a match between the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Rams. As NFL fans eye the second half of the season, one team appears to be shaping up as a serious Super Bowl contender.

For the eighth week in a row, the New England Patriots remain the team with the best shot at taking this year's Super Bowl with 13/4 odds -- but it's the Philadelphia Eagles who are dominating the NFC East.

Click through to see every NFL team's starting odds of winning this year's Super Bowl:

With a full season under his belt, quarterback Carson Wentz has dominated the field this regular season -- throwing for 1,852 yards which places him only behind Tom Brady, Carson Palmer and Alex Wentz. Wentz and the Eagles are likely to cruise to a 7-1 record this week when they face the San Francisco 49ers, and the win could position them as serious Super Bowl contenders.

Other teams who continue to post promising odds projections are the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks, but the San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns remain the worst-ranked teams in terms of their Super Bowl chances. Their odds are so bad this week, in fact, that Bovada did not post their respective numbers.
