Teens arrested after rock thrown from overpass kills man in car

A 32-year-old father was killed after a rock thrown off a highway overpass went straight through his windshield in Flint, Mich.

Kenneth White, who was 10 minutes away from home after completing a two-hour commute, was killed after several teens allegedly tossing rocks from atop an overpass threw a large rock that struck him, according to WXYZ - Detroit.

The object crashed through the windshield of the vehicle White was traveling in.

Police told the outlet that the teens, who did it as a prank, are now in custody. Authorities have not released their names or what charges the teens face.

White's uncle, Donald White, said that White was traveling with a coworker when the debris flew through the windshield.

Donald told WXYZ, “And he (the coworker) called my brother on the side of the road and said I am so sorry, I did everything I could, I couldn’t stop him from bleeding.”

White’s brother, Thomas, told the outlet that he “can’t figure out what goes through someone’s head to want to just throw stuff off a bridge with oncoming traffic.”

White was traveling home from his work in Au Gres, Mich.

Thomas White told WXYZ that his brother “was the best person” he knew.

The O’Guinn Funeral Home is providing service at no charge to the family.

White’s loved ones have also set up a GoFundMe page.
