Trump lashes out at ‘failing’ New York Times over a critical story about his accomplishments

President Trump on Sunday lashed out at the New York Times in the wake of a critical story.

“The Failing @nytimes, in a story by Peter Baker, should have mentioned the rapid terminations by me of TPP & The Paris Accord & the fast approvals of The Keystone XL & Dakota Access pipelines. Also, look at the recent EPA cancellations & our great new Supreme Court Justice!” Trump wrote in a series of tweets.

The president is likely referring to the piece published by the New York Times on Saturday, which is titled, “Promise the Moon? Easy for Trump. But Now Comes the Reckoning.”

It's a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning.
Bob Corker gave us the Iran Deal, & that's about it. We need HealthCare, we need Tax Cuts/Reform, we need people that can get the job done!
Senator Bob Corker "begged" me to endorse him for re-election in Tennessee. I said "NO" and he dropped out (said he could not win without...
...Hence, I would fully expect Corker to be a negative voice and stand in the way of our great agenda. Didn't have the guts to run!
..my endorsement). He also wanted to be Secretary of State, I said "NO THANKS." He is also largely responsible for the horrendous Iran Deal!
The Failing @nytimes set Liddle' Bob Corker up by recording his conversation. Was made to sound a fool, and that's what I am dealing with!

Bob Corker, who helped President O give us the bad Iran Deal & couldn't get elected dog catcher in Tennessee, is now fighting Tax Cuts....
...Corker dropped out of the race in Tennesse when I refused to endorse him, and now is only negative on anything Trump. Look at his record!
Isn't it sad that lightweight Senator Bob Corker, who couldn't get re-elected in the Great State of Tennessee, will now fight Tax Cuts plus!
Same untruths from an utterly untruthful president. #AlertTheDaycareStaff

Baker asserts that so far Trump has taken only “partial actions” on his central campaign promises.

Citing the Iran nuclear deal and Obamacare as examples, Baker says, “as much as he has set his sights on them, Mr. Trump after nearly nine months in office has not actually gotten rid of either.”

“Instead, in the past few days, he took partial steps to undercut both initiatives and then left it to Congress to figure out what to do next,” Baker continues.

The president, not surprisingly, has a much different view of his accomplishments.

“In the last 10 months, we have followed through on one promise after another,” Trump said during a speech on Friday. “I didn’t have a schedule, but if I did have a schedule, I would say we are substantially ahead of schedule.”
