Teen accused of raping neighbor allegedly asked if he could do yard work to make it up to her

An 18-year-old Florida man raped his neighbor at knifepoint and then asked her if he could make it up to her by doing yardwork, authorities said.

Timothy Walding broke into the woman's home in Boynton Beach and attacked her on Friday, according to the Palm Beach Post. Cops said he held a knife to her throat and tied her hands to the bed.

"You really should deadbolt your door because I didn’t really want to do this, but I had to do it," Walding told her, according to the police report obtained by the Palm Beach Post.

The suspect untied the woman and let her leave the house and have a cigarette, according to the paper. He also told her that he could "make this up to her by doing some yardwork or by fixing something around her house."

The teen wore a mask and said he knew her, according to the Palm Beach Post. She figured out his identity and he was later arrested.

Walding is facing multiple charges, including three counts of sexual assault, according to the newspaper. He is being held at the Palm Beach County jail.
