Kellyanne Conway calls for 'thoughtful conversation,' hits Obama after Las Vegas shooting

Counselor to the president, Kellyanne Conway, is calling for "thoughtful conversation" following the mass shooting in Las Vegas that left 59 dead and over 500 wounded.

During an interview on CNN's "New Day," Conway accused the "high-horse cavalry" of "thumping their chest after the tragedies."

"Let’s step back and have a thoughtful conversation about everything that is at play here," Conway said. "The more information all of us can learn about what happened in Las Vegas, the better."

She then went on to accuse Hillary Clinton of "rushing to judgment" and trying to politicize the tragedy, claiming that Clinton and other high-profile Democrats aren't talking about gun control until these mass shootings occur.

"She’s tweeted about guns exactly one time this year. Bernie Sanders, zero times. Elizabeth Warren, zero times," Conway said.

Conway also emphasized that it was the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives under President Obama in 2010 that chose not to regulate the device known as a bump stock, which the gunman in the Vegas massacre used to make his rifles fire rapidly, like automatic weapons.
