Americans buying cheap salmon may be funding North Korean missiles

A new report suggests Americans may be sticking money straight into the pockets of Kim Jong Un.

The Associated Press just did an investigation and found that the North Korean government has been sending tens of thousands of workers into factories worldwide.

The rogue nation has sent some of its citizens to plants in China that export products to the United States.

North Korean workers contracted to work in China don't have many rights, and the workers may have been paid as little as $90 per month.

The AP reports that they can work up to 12 hours and only have one day off.

The report says Sea-Trek enterprises and The Fishin’ Company both reportedly imported fish to the U.S. from factories employing North Koreans.

Some seafood arriving from China was branded with names like Walmart or Aldi’s Sea Queen line.

The president of the largest seafood trade association company in the world is urging all its companies to take another look at their supply chains.
