Obamas reportedly may move to New York City

The Obamas may be looking to live in New York City.

Page Six is reporting former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle have been eyeing an apartment at 10 Gracie Square on the Upper East Side.

You can see the apartment is right next to the mayor’s residence, Gracie Mansion.

Built in 1930, Page Six reports the full-service luxury building boasts 15 floors and 43 apartments including an underground drive-in garage, perfect for maintaining their privacy.

There’s also a gym and indoor basketball court, no doubt a benefit for the hoop-shooting 44th.

We don’t know which apartment they might be interested in, but Page Six reports a five-bedroom duplex there went into contract last week for $10 million dollars, with insiders spotting the couple visiting the building.

Back in May, the New York Times reported the Obamas purchased a $8.1 million dollar mansion in Washington D.C. where the family has decided to stay at least until 16-year-old Sasha finishes high school.

So, with an ongoing bidding war for a joint book deal reportedly rocketing to $60 million, and the ex-president earning a reported $400,000 with each speaking deal, we could see the moving trucks again fairly soon.
