Las Vegas police say there was 'reasonable suspicion' to detain NFL player

Las Vegas police say there was ‘reasonable suspicion’ to stop and detain Seattle Seahawks defensive end, Michael Bennett. The NFL player says he was leaving the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight when there were reports of a shooting on the strip.

Police say they detained Bennett on Aug. 27 for 10 minutes because he ran from the reported shooting while police ordered people to stay down.

Bennett posted a letter on Twitter saying, “Las Vegas police officers singled me out and pointed their guns at me for doing nothing more than simply being a black man in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
