Michelle Obama: Women who didn't vote for Hillary Clinton 'voted against their own voice'

Michelle Obama made an appearance at the Inbound conference in Boston on Wednesday, participating in an interview conducted in front of attendees.

The Boston Globe reports that among her comments was, "Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice."

Michelle and her husband, former President Obama, supported Clinton during the 2016 election, but the former first lady made it clear that they do wish President Trump great success.

However, she was decidedly less supportive of the Republican Party and its attempts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, commonly referred to as Obamacare.

"The Affordable Care Act is not Barack’s legacy," she said. "It is our country’s legacy."

The interview also touched upon more personal matters, including her daughters, whom she said are typical teenagers and not really interested in hanging out with their parents.

Michelle also mentioned that she’s currently working on a book that, according to the Washington Post, is "about being her authentic self," and, "will include stories from her childhood growing up in Chicago. She described the project as answering the question, 'How did that little girl get to be here?'"

The Wednesday interview came after a stretch of time in which both Michelle and former President Obama largely stayed out of the spotlight.

He also made a public appearance this week, speaking at a Monday charity event for the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children.
