Trump suggests 'anti-Trump' Facebook, media are colluding against him

President Trump on Wednesday suggested that Facebook and U.S. media outlets may be conspiring against him.

"Facebook was always anti-Trump. The Networks were always anti-Trump hence, Fake News, @nytimes(apologized) & @WaPo were anti-Trump. Collusion?" Trump tweeted. "But the people were Pro-Trump! Virtually no President has accomplished what we have accomplished in the first 9 months-and economy roaring."

While the president has long been attacking TV networks and newspapers for allegedly spreading "fake news," the part about them working with the social media company to spread an anti-Trump message has not been proven true.

Facebook has made headlines lately over Russia-linked ads throughout the 2016 election season. The tech company recently announced its decision to turn over the at least 3,000 ads to Congress in relation to the Trump-Russia probe.

The 45th president's public contempt for mainstream media is nothing new, and during the height of backlash over Trump's Charlottesville response a Fox News poll found that 70 percent of voters think Trump dislikes the media more than white supremacists.
