The best photos from the week in sports: 9/15 - 9/22

Several teams in the MLB have already clinched their playoff berths, but with close Wild Card races on either side, many are still clawing at the chance to compete in the postseason. Teams like the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs, especially, had busy weeks as their division championship hopes remain uncertain.

In football this week, the New York Giants celebrated their 2007 Super Bowl team -- but maybe they should have paid a little more attention to their current roster, which has fallen to 0-2.

Elsewhere in the sporting world, Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez fought to a draw in their WBC, WBA and IBF middleweight championship bout in Las Vegas.
