Hurricane Maria leaves Puerto Rico completely in the dark: 'We are 100 percent without power'

Puerto Rico is entirely without power in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, according to the Puerto Rico governor's office.

"We are 100 percent without power," a spokesman for the governor's office said. The storm has moved on from the U.S. territory and is on its way toward the Dominican Republican, Turks and Caicos and the southeastern Bahamas.

"This is total devastation," spokesman Carlos Mercader said earlier of Maria. "Puerto Rico, in terms of the infrastructure, will not be the same. ... This is something of historic proportions."
