Protesters draped a banner on Fenway Park's Green Monster that read, 'Racism is as American as baseball'

Protesters hung a banner on the Green Monster at Fenway Park during Wednesday night's nationally televised game between the Boston Red Sox and the Oakland A's.

It did not appear that the banner was seen on television as it was unveiled inbetween the top and bottom of the fourth inning.

According to reports from the stadium, umpires gathered with security to discuss the banner and it was quickly removed.

Here is a close-up shot of the banner.
