Boyfriend lights pregnant girlfriend on fire causing her to give birth 7 weeks early

A pregnant woman's boyfriend doused her with gas and lit her on fire, according to police in Maryland.

The attack happened Friday at an apartment complex. 30-year-old Andrea Grinage survived, but reportedly suffered severe burns -- 90 percent of her body -- after her apartment went up in flames.

She also had to give birth to her daughter 7 weeks before her due date.

Grinage and her new baby girl are both recovering.

Grinage's family has set up a gofundme page.

Her father wrote:

"Everything was lost in the fire and she must begin a new with your help. She has a long road to recovery and unknown medical costs. PLEASE stop domestic violence!!"

Grinage's father also told WJLA news that the unnamed suspect is the father and that the attack stemmed from him not taking responsibility of being a new dad. The suspect reportedly turned himself into police.

Grinage told police she suspected her boyfriend was on his way to Washington D.C. to go after other members of her family.
