The best photos from the week in sports: 8/18 - 8/25

The New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers did their part this week to make sure people know baseball isn't boring -- the teams combined for eight total ejections after pitches and punches were thrown and the benches cleared in a massive brawl.

Those same Yankees also still remain in a heated division race as they faced off against the rival (and first place) Boston Red Sox over the weekend.

In football news, the Cleveland Browns partook in the largest-yet national anthem protest, during which 12 players kneeled for the playing of the song.

Elsewhere in the world, multiple showdowns attracted attention from golf to badminton and beyond.
