Bear terrorizes family and only leaves after punch in the face

A Canadian family got the scare of a lifetime after a male black bear decided to waltz into their home.

The family living in Gibsons British Columbia was first alerted by their two and a half year old son that a bear was paying a visit by saying, “Mom, look!”

Mom quickly ran and locked her and the kids in a bedroom.

She called for help from a family friend who tried shutting a sliding door on the bear but the bear then tried to gnaw his way back inside.

Eventually he punched the bear in the nose and caused it to retreat. However, the bear decided to come back for round two.

This time, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police were on the scene and deemed the bear too dangerous to be left alive.

The bear was put down and removed by conservation officers.
