Where is Kim Jong Un? North Korean leader’s disappearance earlier this month explained

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un appeared to have gone silent for a couple weeks after a ballistic missile test in late July.

The Korea Times is reporting, based on inside sources, that he “secretly visited a military unit near the inter-Korean border in early August.”

There has since been speculation that Kim’s unannounced visit to the unit, located just over half a mile from a South Korean outpost, may have been to assess its readiness and provide additional orders.
