BACK TO SLIDE
The news has largely been dominated by tragic headlines this week, from Charlottesville, Virginia to Barcelona, Spain.
White supremacists and related groups hosted a "Unite the RIght" rally in Charlottesville over the weekend that was met with counter-protests and ultimately ended in the death of Heather Heyer, who was killed when a car drove into a group of demonstrators who opposed the supremacists.
President Trump's remarks after the clashes were met with criticism as the nation remains in turmoil over the presence of Confederate-era symbols that remain across the country.
In Barcelona, Spain, on Thursday, a series of attacks killed over one dozen people. The majority of the losses occurred when a van drove into a group of people in a crowded area of the city. Police later found and killed several terrorists in connection with the slayings.
