Former Trump staffers reveal love child after 2016 campaign trail romance

Updated

A shocking revelation came from former Trump team officials on Thursday when news broke that former White House communications director Jason Miller fathered a son with Trump transition adviser A.J. Delgado.

Emily Smith with Page Six broke the story, which details that Miller and Delgado got together the night before Trump's final 2016 election debate against Hillary Clinton when they found themselves at a Las Vegas strip club with members of the press.

Delgado tweeted news this week of the birth of her son, William, who was born on July 10.

Once the PageSix story broke, though, Delgado actively refuted claims that the relationship between herself and Miller was a one-off encounter -- saying the two dated for "months."

Miller, whose own wife gave birth to the couple's second child in January, told PageSix he and his wife "welcome" William.

"My wife and I, along with our two daughters, are excited to welcome William into the world and into our family," Miller said. "And we appreciate the well wishes we've received from so many."

Delgado seemingly didn't take well to Miller's statement.

"And I'm not sure what Jason means that he and his wife are excited to welcome Will. Really? News to me. Let me shut up before I say more..." she tweeted.

Delgado announced on Thursday morning that she would be sharing her side of the story with McKay Coppins of The Atlantic.
