Court documents reveal man's disturbing in-flight texts about drugging, raping children

A Washington couple was arrested after a passenger spotted him texting plans to molest two kids by drugging and raping them, new court documents revealed Monday.

Micheal Kellar, 56, was aboard a Seattle-to-San Jose, California flight earlier this month when a passenger seated behind him caught him exchanging texts with Gail Burnworth, 50, discussing their intentions to sexually abuse a pair of young children.

The passenger, who used her phone to obtain photo evidence of the man's lewd texts -- which were visibly clear as he was using a large screen and font -- immediately alerted the airline staff, who arrested the man upon the plane's landing.

"I don't know how I saw it, I just saw in big text, 'child in their underwear,'" the passenger, who's also an early childhood educator, told the Mercury News. "I thought, 'What did I just see?' My heart started racing. Then I could see more texts coming.

According to the complaint, the passenger's picture revealed that Burnworth planned to be alone with the children, ages 5 and 7, and had intentions to sedate them with Benadryl so she could film herself molesting them as they slept. Burnworth also reportedly told Kellar she would record him raping the two kids.

Investigators also found other messages the two exchanged, in which they discussed beastiality, the complaint further notes.

Burnworth also confessed to having made about 20 videos of the two victims, which she later sent Kellar.

According to the New York Daily News, the pair met a year ago on Match.com and have since had an intimate relationship.

The couple was charged Monday with attempted enticement of a minor, including rape of a child and conspiracy to produce child pornography.
