Sen. Blumenthal hits back at 'bullying' POTUS after Trump Twitter attack

President Trump's latest Twitter target is firing back after the president went after his Vietnam War service.

Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal tweeted this out Monday, "Mr. President: Your bullying hasn't worked before and it won't work now. No one is above the law."

That tweet was in response to Trump in his Monday morning Twitter rampage when he said, "Interesting to watch Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut talking about hoax Russian collusion when he was a phony Vietnam con artist!"

The story Trump is talking about stems from an incident back in 2010. Blumenthal, during his Senate campaign, said he served IN the Vietnam War when he actually intended to say he served DURING the war. He was a reservist and not fighting overseas.

Trump even called for an investigation into the senior senator earlier this year.

President Trump, just minutes later, tweeted: "Never in U.S. history has anyone lied or defrauded voters like Blumenthal. He told stories about his Vietnam battles and ....... conquests, how brave he was, and it was all a lie. He cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness like a child. Now he judges collusion?"
